Blogger's Résumé

Blogging bores you;
Email's choked with spam;
The news depresses you;
And op-eds ain't worth a damn.
Titillation is nsfw-al;
The boards are full of jerks;
Facebook quizzes are awful;
You might as well work.

(with apologies, etc.)

no kidding.

It occurred to me an hour later that I could have rhymed "awful" with "ROTFL", but you know, the perfect is the enemy of the ...well, this anyway.

Many times I've looked at the pile of paperwork on my desk, then at a BotF front page and wondered which, if given the proper attention will make tomorrow go more smoothly. So I start to clear off the clutter one sheet at a time, but then I decide to check out Keifus Writes, and Switters, and a few others. Next thing you know, I haven't finished anything. I'll get to it tomorrow.

I complain about my job a lot, but I'm lucky that I can sort of get away with that sort of thing. (So much writing to do, so easy to fake.)

I feel bad about your options. I feel so "off" lately and switters is about as easy to spot as Zeus-Boy. And work, well...

I owe you a better comment over on your place.

I didn't come here expecting poetry. And I wasn't disappointed.

(god I hope that's as funny on paper as it is in my head.)

cat ♥ bad poetry.

Meant to be obvious, but I stole a famous poem (http://www.breakoutofthebox.com/resume.htm) and then *made* it bad, in my own rofl way.

(Owe you a comment too)

And, you got to use those fancy accents.

Fiction, poetry and literary reviews all in one blog - oh my!

When are you going to start posting recipes!!??

You'll be the new one-stop-shop for all of us, and we can bypass that old BOTF swamp! :)

But, at this point, I do have to get some recipes from M2.

The recipes I post have to better than the poetry.
